Minor Injury Units give same-day care if you have an injury that’s less than two weeks old, or if you have a minor illness, such as an eye infection or rash. We welcome adults, children and young people. NHS 111 may advise you to come to us instead of your emergency department (A&E).
You don’t need an appointment. Just walk in and you’ll be seen, we are open 8am – 8pm, 7 days a week. Just note that people are seen in an order that’s based on the urgency of their needs, not necessarily the order in which they arrive.

About the team
The team will respond to and support any injury or illness; however, if the condition is serious or life‑threatening, please call 999 or go to A&E immediately.
After you walk-in and wait to be seen, our team will assess your injury or illness, explain what is happening, and make sure you get the right care. We’re staffed by experienced nurses, paramedics and allied health professionals, such as physiotherapists.
We can also provide X-ray services If your practitioner is concerned or has assessed you may have damaged a bone. X-rays are usually available Monday to Friday, 9am to 4:15pm, and they are provided by specialists (called radiographers).
