Children’s Learning Disability Health

For:

The Children’s Learning Disability Health Service helps children and young people overcome barriers in their daily lives. We offer support to children with learning disabilities, as well as related concerns like toileting issues, communication challenges, healthy eating and sleeping difficulties.

About the team

Our team includes nurses and child healthcare professionals specially trained to support children and young people with learning disabilities.

Our goal is to help children build their confidence and independence in daily life, develop key emotional and communication skills, and help them reach their full potential with tailored support.

We can also support the adults in their life, including families, school staff and other health professionals – offering relationship and behavioural support and helping you to access other healthcare services for your child.

If we are not the right service, we will help you find the right place to go. We won’t leave you feeling stuck.
