Support can include individual and group-based exercises, massage therapy, acupuncture and pain-relief techniques to practice at home.

Questions and answers

What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a kind of treatment for conditions or injuries that are causing you pain or getting in the way of your day-to-day movement – these can include back, neck and joint pain, surgery, fractures and sports injuries.
Do I need to do anything in preparation for my appointment?
You’ll need to fill out some pre-assessment questions, so please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time. Bring a list of any medications you’re currently taking, and wear loose, comfortable clothing so you can move easily during your appointment.
What should I expect at my appointment?
Your appointment will usually take around 30-45 minutes. During your appointment, your physiotherapist will talk with you about your symptoms, medical history and how your pain is affecting your daily life. They will do some physical checks to make a diagnosis, and then work out a personalised treatment plan to help you get moving again without pain.
