Infection Prevention and Control
HCRG Care Group is committed to preventing and controlling infection to ensure the safety of everyone who uses our services. We maintain high standards across all sites and work to minimise avoidable infections by providing a clean and safe environment.
Infections are caused by bacteria and viruses that occur naturally around us, and most do not cause harm. Infection prevention and control is everyone’s responsibility, and our IPC Lead Nurses provide expert advice and support to colleagues, service users, and visitors.
What we do
- Provide regular training and updates to colleagues on IPC.
- Comply with the Health and Social Care Act 2008: Code of Practice, monitored through our IPC Committee.
- Promote effective hand hygiene, including handwashing and the use of alcohol-based hand rub.
- Work closely with cleaning teams to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
