To refer for children’s speech, language and communication needs, please see the guidance below outlining the supporting documentation required alongside the referral.

Making a referral
If the child or young person lives in the Wiltshire area, please follow the guidance below before making your online referral.
Guidance for language needs
1. If you have concerns regarding language skills, please discuss with your child’s setting to complete a communication tracker. If your child is not in a setting, please contact SPA on 0300 247 0200.
Guidance for speech sound needs
- If you have concerns regarding speech sounds, please complete and upload the speech sound checker.
- If your child is at a secondary school, there are no additional documents; please describe your current concerns in as much detail as possible on the digital referral form
